Code

identifies the department. Once the record is saved, you cannot change the code.

Active

is checked if the department is available for use and is to be included in pick lists and searches.

Parent

applies if you have a hierarchical department structure, to indicate the one at the level above.

Manager

identifies the resource responsible for this department.

Available for Demand Forecasting

will, if checked, cause the department to appear on the selection list during demand forecasting.
