A login is an individual user of the product and so their login record identifies them and determines what they can do. Each login is based on a login profile that sets the general rules for accessing and processing data. The login then refines those rules, making a more precise definition for the individual user.
A login record must exist for every user of the system. Each login will be a member of a login group that sets out allowed actions.
Selecting Logins will display a search screen so that you can locate required ones (refer to Searching and Filters :
Click:
• Add to create a record
• Change Password to force users to change their password
• Create Data Template to add a record that can then be used as a basis to create actual logins
• Import Data to import and load data from a spreadsheet file.
For any listed record, you can click:
• Own Resource name to access the resource.
• then:
Edit | to change listed data. |
Open | to access the login record in order to amend it . |
Clone | to create a login that is similar to an existing one. This creates a copy of the original so that you need only enter a code and description, and then change other details where necessary. |
Code Converter | to change the code of the login if it is incorrect. All affected records will be updated. |
Delete | to delete the login record, after confirmation. |
