Here you can identify particular skills that resources may have and which may be required for certain projects. This helps to correctly match resources to projects.

A skill will be an attribute of a resource and may indicate training that has been undertaken, qualifications gained, or a professional body of which the resource is a member. For example, a computer programmer may be proficient in Visual Basic or C++, while a designer may have CAD skills. Several skills can be linked to each resource.

Select Skills from the Skills section of Administration. You can then process a search (as described at Searching and Filters  to list matching options:

 

Click

    Add to create a record.

    Create Data Template to add a record with spreadsheet format that can then be used as a basis to create actual skills

    Import Data to import and load skills data from a spreadsheet template file.

For a listed skill, you can click   then:

Edit

to alter the name.

Open

to edit the record.

Clone

creates a record with the same general details as the selected one. You must specify a code for this entry and can change other details.

Code Converter

to change the code of the skill if it is incorrect. All affected records will be updated.

Delete

to delete the record, after confirmation, providing it is not in use.
