Any predecessors for the current task are listed. These identify tasks on which this task is dependent and so allow tracking of dependencies. You can specify all tasks in the project at the Tasks tab.

All tasks in the project can be linked to any others to provide a complete picture of dependencies.

Select a task that is to be treated as a predecessor to this one and click   to add it. You will be prevented from selecting any that cannot be a predecessor because, for example, they are a successor or a parent task.

For each listed predecessor, enter or select:

•      Constraint Type determines that this task cannot start or finish before the predecessor task has either started or finished

•      Lag indicates the number of days that are to elapse after the predecessor event before this task can start or finish.

•      Click and then Delete to remove a predecessor from the task.
